Regarding the video footage, there is hours of footage included in the file. Also, since there are minors in the video, we will need to use an outside vendor to redact/blur the faces. Please let me know if you would like me to move forward and obtain a quote as there is the potential for a significant cost to this process. Also, the file is over 1 terabyte and in order to transfer the file, we will need you to provide a 2 terabyte external hard drive.

It was a public event that was on several news channels that was held in public. There is no expectation of privacy for anyone involved and as I stated, the event and the children's faces were on TV and are also on the many pictures from the event. Glenn Kalina has all the kids on his page. I can see all of them, no blurring.

The Township, as a public entity is governed by the Open Public Records Act for the release of its records. We cannot comment on the other entities, nor the statutory obligations for them with regard to the release of their records. We are constrained to release governmental records within those confines.
Attendees were not required to sign waivers. As for the intended use of the footage, there is no responsive document that I can provide, I would recommend that you reach out to the RAC on that question.

I spoke with the Solicitor and we are not able to redact the video in house and it will require third party fees which I do not have the ability to waive. If you would like, you can submit a waiver request to Council.

Please forward this to the Council and accept this as my fee waiver request for the unnecessary redactions that the Township is requiring. As stated before, the faces of the children were on several News Channels and dozens of articles, so the need to redact their faces is pointless. The township provided dozens of photos to the press that the children's faces were not redacted in, so why no need to redact their faces when the township sent the images to the media? Mind you, I have no issue with the blurring of the faces, I have an issue with the need to pay for it. If the Township feels that strongly about the needless redactions, I must respectfully ask the Council to waive the fee and have the township pay the costs of the unwarranted and arbitrary requirement being set forth by the Solicitor.
In just this one article linked below there are at least 28 children pictured.

Wendy Mitchell provided photos of the party to several news outlets without any such redactions of the children's faces. I again must assert that the Township's request that the video needs to be blurred is not only unwarranted and arbitrary, but I believe it is an attempt to stall the production of the requested materials because they will show the party was not well attended and was more of a political rally for the Democratic Party than it was a retirement party for Carli Lloyd.

I just realized the local businesses that donated already paid for the Video.
Also, just so the Township is aware. I screen captured 40 plus images from the Mayor and Council's pages of minors without their faces being blurred. Since the attorney said that is not legal please have them removed....or just send me the video. My next response will be an order to show cause.
