Theft and official misconduct committed by Sgt. Robert Burcyzk #313

Dear Toms River Police Department,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.

Any and all records relating to Sgt. Robert Burcyzk’s #313 numerous thefts from Toms River Township, fraud, and Official Misconduct in Office, specifically multiple thefts of time off by changing computer and written records.

Documents, emails, text messages relating to the discovery of said thefts and falsified documents, both computer and written.

What was the total amount of the theft including replacement cost of Sgt.Burcyzk absence.

Any documents, both electronic and written, that were altered in perpetrating the theft, both computer(POSS) and daily sign in sheets.

Documents both written and electronic, referring the thefts and official misconduct in office to the Ocean County Prosecutors Office.

Any communications, both electronic and written, between Ocean County Prosecutors Office and Toms River Police and it’s employees referencing Sgt. Robert Burcyzk’s numerous thefts.

Any communication, both written and electronic, between Ocean County Procecutors Office and Toms River Police directing TRPD to fraudulently enroll Sgt. Robert Burcyzk #313 in an inpatient alcohol treatment program in an attempt to save his job.

Separation agreement between Sgt. Robert Burcyzk #313 and the Toms River Police Dept.

Documents, emails, and text messages to and from Chief Mitch Little referencing Sgt. Robert Burcyzk and the decision to let him retire rather than firing and criminally charging him.
