Request for a list of all employees in the Historic Preservation Office from 2000-today.

The request was successful.

Dear New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:

1. A list of all employees in the Historic Preservation Office from 2000-today who were and or are employed, the hire and fire dates, as well as their salaries and or hourly wages and ethnicities of each individual.

2. Hire and release dates for Shean McDill and Maya Thomas as well as the total amount they were paid for the time in which they were employed. I also would like to know who paid them, were the checks they received from the DEP or their schools?

Yours faithfully,

Patrick Duff

Dear DEP records,

You already answered the race question when I asked before, what has changed now?

Also, how much in total were paid to Mcdill and Thomas. You didn't answer that question.

Yours sincerely,

Patrick Duff

Dear DEP records,

Also, you didn't tell me all the people who have worked in the office that are no longer employed. I asked for all who were or are employed since the year 2000. Please provide me with that separate list of all inactive former employees as well as the amount paid thge Thomas and McDill.

Yours sincerely,

Patrick Duff

Dear DEP records,

I do not know if this got lost in the mix...but you never completed this request. I needed a list of all current and inactive employees that worked in the HPO since the year 2000 until 2018 as well as the total amounts that were paid to McDill and Thomas. Please provide this ASAP as this request is extremely overdue.

Yours sincerely,

Patrick Duff

Dear DEP records,

I have asked for this several times now. I need a list of every person who was employed since the year 2000 in the HPO as well as the total amounts paid to McDill and Thomas. Please provide me with this info as require by law.

Yours sincerely,

Patrick Duff

Coefer, Matt,

Mr. Duff:

In response to this request, on March 5, 2018 the NJDEP provided you an Excel spreadsheet of all the full time NJDEP HPO employees and their Salary. Not included on the spreadsheet but provided in the March 5, 2018 email was information concerning two HPO Hourly employees, Shean McDill and Maya Thomas. For these employees, the NJDEP provided the Hiring and Separation dates as well as their Hourly Rate.

The NJDEP is not able to provide the total dollar amount the Hourly employees were paid as there is no tracking mechanism to identify this information. The Hourly employees were paid out of the NJDEP's Natural & Historic Program's operation budget and to identify the total amount paid to them, the NJDEP would have to perform research in identifying any timesheet they may have submitted, identifying the hours, and correlating and summing the resulting salary payments. The NJDEP is not required to perform this research pursuant to OPRA and case law.

Mr. Duff:

The NJDEP's Human Resource are created the attached spreadsheet of Inactive Employees (Full-Time and Hourlies). Apparently, there is different system capabilities in producing such data between "Active" and "Inactive" where Inactive includes a research and creation of a record aspect.
