2. Requesting PDF Document: For the Lease Agreement Between the "Borough of South River" and "South River Volunteer Rescue Squad" for the "Rescue Squad Vehicle" previously purchased by the Borough of South River which is reference in the approved Borough Resolution #: 1999-596.

Attached is Res. 1999-596.
Leases are to be retained for 6 years after the termination of the lease. Without further information about this vehicle, it is at least 20 years old. I don't recall seeing any such agreement in our files. This agreement predate my tenure and my predecessor's tenure with the Borough. My predecessor oversaw the implementation of a records management system that purged any records that were no longer needed.
I will search for this lease and or a records destruction request but I am not very confident I will locate either.

Dear Bill Bray,

I learned through another OPRA request for various meeting minutes; the only Ambulance that was purchased by the Borough of South River in the year(s) 1998 thru 1999 for the South River Rescue Squad was from a company named {PL Custom Emergency Vehicle} - (Ford Model) Ambulance from a company located in the Borough of Manasquan, New Jersey.

I was also advised this was the only ambulance ever purchased by the Borough of South River from this particle company and; I also learned this Ambulance is still being utilized to date by the Borough as an Ambulance therefore, the lease should still be valid, if the Borough does in deed own such a vehicle / Ambulance, manufactured by {PL Custom Emergency Vehicle} in the Borough of Manasquan, New Jersey.

Furthermore, why was this document ordered destroyed? And; why is this document not readily available and; why is the (destruction document) not readily available? I also learned through a previous OPRA requested meeting minutes the Borough had contracted by Resolution an off site warehouse with Middlesex County to retain Borough of South River records because during this time frame. Maybe the records are with Middlesex County, in their warehouse. I will wait for you to find these records, it is hard to believe that an entire lease agreement(s) would just vanish, with no destruction document records either. I will wait for your findings.

Yours sincerely,

NJ-SR for Open Gov
