Dear Ocean County Sheriff's Department,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
On July 25, 2022, at approximately 0930hrs, a major power outage affected Tuckerton Borough due to a MVA involving a utility pole. While monitoring the radio to the County, an unidentified individual was heard utilizing a portable radio to communicate a traffic detail that he established on Rt539 and Nugentown road. This individual later turned the traffic detail over to another individual who arrived in an official capacity.
My request:
1. What is the identifier of the portable radio that was utilized to communicate to County Dispatch for the first Rt 539 / Nugentown traffic detail.
2. What organization does that portable radio belong to and where is it currently assigned.
3. Also requesting, all Fire radio traffic from 0925 to 1000 hrs involving zone 2 communications involving the power outage on July 25,2022 in Tuckerton Borough. Specifically radio traffic for the establishment of the Rt 539/Nugentown traffic detail.
4. Any regulations (State/County/Federal) for the improper use and transmission of a portable radio by an unauthorized individual.
5. CAD report of assignments, including traffic details, with radio identifiers assigned.
