Dear Camden City,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Open Public Records Act reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Camden City's handling of my OPRA request 'Planning Meeting minutes and agenda from 4-3-2017 scheduled from 3:30-5:00.'.

The meeting I am requesting the minutes of was actually a Department of Finance meeting, not a planning meeting. I would like the minutes of the Department of Finance meeting held on 4-3-2017 that was scheduled from 3:30-5:00. Thanks

A full history of my OPRA request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://opramachine.com/request/planning...

Dear OPRARequest,

On April 5th of 2017 the Courier Post had a section that said the Bureau of Grants Management had a meeting on April 3rd from 3:30-5:00 in city council chambers. Here is the paper: https://www.newspapers.com/image/?spot=1...

Please send me the agenda and minutes from that meeting.

Dear OPRARequest,
First you said there was no meeting, now you say there was one but there were no attendees thus no minutes. It is required that all publicly held meetings by government bodies take minutes of the said meetings. So let me get this straight, you had a meeting where nobody at all was in attendance, therefor no minutes were taken? Can you explain that one to me? How did you have a meeting if nobody was in attendance? Please explain this or I will be forced to file a complaint with the GRC.

Yours sincerely,

Patrick Duff

Dear OPRARequest,

OK, then please send me a list of all Grants Management meetings from the year 2017 as well as the minutes for every grants management meeting that tool place in 2017.

Yours sincerely,

Dear OPRARequest,

The Law requires the public body to keep reasonably comprehensible
minutes of all its meetings, showing the time and place, the members
present, the subjects considered, the actions taken, the votes of each
member and any other information required by law to be recorded by
minutes. These minutes are to be made promptly available to the
public.
In addition, the Law requires that a statement be entered into the minutes
at the outset of each meeting indicating (1) that adequate notice has been
provided (specifying the time, date, and manner in which the notice was
provided), or (2) that adequate notice was not provided and an
explanation for the failure of public body to provide adequate notice.

Yours sincerely,

Patrick Duff

Dear OPRARequest,

If a meeting happened, the law requires that minutes are taken for that said meeting. Before I file a complaint I just want to get your side of the story straight. Are you saying that a meeting took place regarding millions of dollars of grants that no minutes were ever taken on? Are you also claiming that since no members of the public attended the meeting no minutes were needed? Where is the law on that one? That's when minutes are most important, so we can go back and see what happened inside our government.

Yours sincerely,

Patrick Duff
