Dear Toms River Township,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Copies of email logs for Emergency Management Coordinator Paul Daley from March 19th, 2018 to May 1st, 2018.
Dear Cathy Dier,
This is a valid, electronically submitted OPRA request delivered to the Township in compliance with N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq. The township has historically responded to requests delivered via email without issue since I have begun making OPRA request to the township under former clerk Mutter, so I will decline to use the website at this time.
Please be advised pursuant to Renna v. County of Union (App. Div. 2009), OPRA requests should be on the agency’s official OPRA request form. However, a written request that is not on the agency’s official OPRA request form cannot be denied solely because the request is not on the request form. Written requests which are not on the form must mention OPRA. Therefore, if a requestor elects not to use an agency’s official OPRA request form, he/she must submit an otherwise written request that clearly identifies itself as an OPRA request.
I look forward to your formal response to this request within the time period prescribed by statute.
Dear Cathy Dier,
Following up again on this OPRA request again as it has now been past 7 business days. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
All OPRA requests are done now on the WebSite.
For your most recent request, you must choose the POLICE website, not
Twp. (this option is at the very top/beginning of page)
All very simple, efficient and speedy!
You may delete the recent FAX # you are using, and in future send only to
Once your online request is submitted to the Police Dept. , it will be
forwarded to Emergency Management , and they will reach out to you within
the 7-business-day time frame.
Hope this helps!
