Election Board Audio Recordings

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Middlesex County should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Middlesex County,

Under OPRA and the common law right of access, and in accordance with my discussions with the staff at the Board of Elections, please provide me with copies of all audio recordings of Board of Elections meetings.

I will defer to you on the best way to copy and transfer these records to me. If they are too large to e-mail, I suggest a free file transfer service such as WeTransfer.com or Google Drive. I can also come pick them up on a CD or flash drive.

I was asked to clarify and be specific by the staff. I explained that I would like copies of all of the recordings since the board began recording the meetings (I believe sometime in 2016 or 2017).

To start with, I am most interested in the meetings that have taken place since August 8, 2018. You can take your time providing the prior recordings, but the recent recordings, and in particular the August 8, 2018 recording, are urgently needed. Thanks much.

Yours faithfully,

Charlie Kratovil
