Borough Vendor Activity Report 2012-Present

We're waiting for T.M. to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Washington Borough,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.

Records requested:

1) A *searchable PDF document in "landscape" orientation listing all Borough vendor activity (aka a vendor activity report) from 2012 to present.

Please include the following fields in this PDF:

a. FULL Business or Personal Name of payee
b. FULL address of payee
c. Amount paid
d. Date paid
e. Memo (reason paid)

*Searchable means one can use the built-in search capability of Adobe Reader to search for words within the PDF. Some PDFs are exported at a lower resolution/quality that render the PDF unsearchable, therefore it is requested that you generate a PDF at a resolution high enough to make it both clearly legible and searchable. If necessary to keep files down to a reasonable file size, feel free to break the records down into 2-3 separate PDFs.

Dear Laurie Barton,

A delay to August 12, when my request was submitted to you on July 11, is unacceptable, as these records should be easily and readily available for export as a PDF -- at least in part, if not a complete fulfillment of my request.

You responded on July 23 without any records with an email stating you would respond in 7 days, when a response to my request should have, by law, been sent to me no later than July 22 when the 7 business day period ended.

Due to the reasons above, I do not grant the proposed extension to August 12 that you are seeking, but I shall grant you an extension to end of business on August 2, 2019 at which point I may take action upon this denial of my OPRA request.

Subject: OPRA request - Check registry data, latest CAFR, and disclosure forms

Dear Washington Borough,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.

Records requested:

1. Check registry data of the general fund by check date from January 1, 2010 to present in a readable .csv format that can be readily imported into Microsoft Excel software. Please include each available data column capable of being exported from within your digital record system for your general fund that is not exempt under both OPRA and common law, including "memo" or payment description fields.

2. A copy of the borough's latest CAFR (Comprehensive Annual Financial Report).

3. A copy of the financial disclosure forms completed by the Borough Manager, Clerk, Council Members, and Board members from 2010 to present.

4. A blank copy of each and every type of -disclosure- form (financial, investments, conflicts of interest, etc.) either required or requested by the Borough or by the State of New Jersey or U.S. Government, to be submitted to the borough by employees, members of Council, Board members, borough and board professionals, and/or vendors upon being elected, appointed, hired, or contracted by the borough.

5. A blank copy of each and every type of form required to be completed and signed by borough employees prior to, or upon, being hired by the borough.

Note: Requests #4 and #5 may overlap some.

#3 Any forms from 2010-2013 by the Borough Manager, Clerk, Council Members, and Board members have been destroyed by the previous Borough Clerk. (retention period 6 years M1000000-013-Records Retention Schedule)

I have sent in my previous email the link to the State website (also below ) that has the searchable records from 2014 to present-please advise if this is acceptable as the State of NJ on their website has those records. I await your response. Thank you.
