2 years of emails referring to cannabis, marijuana and weed
Dear Red Bank Borough,
2 years of emails referring to cannabis, marijuana and weed for council members and mayor
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
Yours faithfully,
Monmouth County CARE
This email is to acknowledge receipt of your OPRA request dated and
received via email on 3/12/2019. This response is being provided on the
seventh business day after the receipt of your request. Please note, the
document(s) is/are under attorney review for confidentiality or any
possible redactions that might be needed. We are requesting a seven
business day extension to complete this review. Thank you.
I apologize for the continued delay on your request. Our Attorney was
unable to open the email documents in the format provided by our IT
Director. I have requested that he supply the emails again in a readable
format. He expects to provide them to me within a week. One I receive
the email documents, I will forward to the attorney for his review. At
this time I am requesting an extension to 4/19/2019 to complete that
process. Thank you for your patience.

The email is to request one final extension on this request. As an
update, our IT Department was able to gather two years worth of emails
from the ten Council members who have served during that time. I
mentioned in my previous correspondence, they were originally provided in
an unreadable format. He went back and provided them in PDF. I went
through them and removed emails on topics such as property maintenance
that mentioned "weeds." The final result is still a very large number of
emails. I have forwarded them to the Borough Attorney and he has assured
me that he will complete his review and they will be delivered no later
than May 1.
Thank you for your continued patience.
